With the recent election, culturally we just passed the winter solstice of our era, the midway point of the Winter/Water Phase.  As those of us who live in northern climates know, it is a long slog from the longest night to the first sprouts in spring.

The “Resilient Spirit” Spring Retreat is a passion project, born in response to the reality that we are living in a time of chaos and upheaval that repeatedly disorients and confounds, leaving us all stressed and anxious. The series is meant to be an offering, a touchstone, an opportunity to gather ourselves and build the resilience to thrive together.

Earth phase transistions can feel unsettling in the best of times. This particular Earth phase is bound to be especially intense. Understanding a bit about what is happening and some practical ideas to help you stay centered in the coming weeks is really helpful.

Connecting to the Spirit of Metal

In the autumn, when the days are getting noticeably shorter and the daily dose of the sun’s energy is declining, we are in the Metal Phase. This decline in the warmth and light of the sun triggers loss of vitality that is plain to see in Nature.  It is this loss, this decline in vitality that we resonate with and experience emotionally as melancholy, sadness or grief.

We are living in some crazy times.  There is change happening at every level and for every living being on Earth at this time.   We are all being challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. If we take a body/mind/spirit approach to try and find our way through, we discover a bread crumb trail resonating with Truth and Light.
